Yale
University School of the 21st Century Program
The School of the 21st Century (21C) is a model for providing
school-linked childcare, family support, and health services
to promote the optimal development of children from birth.
21C schools are child-centered, family-friendly schools that
address the needs of the whole child and family to remove
barriers to success. The Yale University Bush Center in Child
Development and Social Policy serves as the national center
for the School of the 21st Century initiative and provides
training and technical assistance to schools and communities
interested in creating 21C programs.
"Improving children's health and development through enhanced
nutrition and fitness is one of the goals of the School of
the 21st Century (21C). We’re excited about the opportunity
to partner with Healthy Kids Challenge to provide schools
with the information they need to help their students--and
families--make healthy eating and physical fitness lifelong
habits." - Jennifer Heath, Program Manager, School of the
21st Century, Yale University |
