HKC joins Westfield Solano Mall’s “Feelin’ Great in 2008” Health and Fitness-themed Event

Westfield Solano Mall, Fairfield, CA chose a variety of booth displays and activities for this event, including HKC, to promote active lifestyles in their community. HKC’s Walk Through the Pyramid™ was an instant hit with kids and families as they interacted and learned healthy food choices and fun physical activity movements.

CIGNA Healthcare employees from Bloomfield, CT, Philadelphia, PA, and Chattanooga, TN experience interactive lessons as they meandered through the Walk Through the Pyramid™displays.

School Events

At Plaza Middle School, Platte County, MO, local chef’s led kid teams for an evening that was a fun, learning success! Kids kicked off the evening by giving their team names such as the “Screaming Chickens” and “Fast Choppers”! Community groups, teachers and families joined in the fun and tasted new menu items at a healthy “breakfast for dinner” sponsored by school food service. Teachers enhanced the learning experience by having students log healthy breakfasts! Communication and collaboration was evident throughout the planning and implementation of the event.

CIGNA Healthcare, Chattanooga, TN – Ready, Set, Cook, and Eat™ was done in conjunction with the Health Awareness Bike Tour. CIGNA cycling members were on the cooking teams, as were local and state dignitaries, like the State Health Commissioner, Susan Cooper.

Celia Clinton Elementary and Grissom Elementary of Tulsa, OK, played active games while learning 3-A-Day dairy fun!
