America's Promise, The Alliance For Youth

The April 1997 Presidents’ Summit for America’s Future provided a national call to action. As a result, many communities across the country are now mobilizing to fulfill these Five Promises for children and youth:

1. Caring Adults

2. Safe Places

3. Healthy Start

4. Marketable Skills

5. Opportunities to Serve

America’s Promise has created a diverse and growing Alliance of nearly 500 national organizations called Partners, which make large-scale national commitments to fulfill one or more of the Five Promises. These organizations agree to expand existing youth programs or create new ones and hold themselves accountable by measuring their progress. Healthy Kids Challenge is honored to serve as an America’s Promise Partner.
